Dialogue of Culture’ In typographically printed original wrapper Total dimensions: 80 x 60 cm Sheet size: 75 x 50 cm Good condition The color photograph on glossy paper is from the portfolio ‘Art suitcase. Dialogue of Cultures‘, which was published in Hanover on occasion of the World Exhibition EXPO 2000. It comprised 13 works by various international artists and was published under the patronage of Nelson Mandela. The photograph was created by the Nigerian doctor and installation artist Mo Edoga. Presentenced is, in the style of the artist, one of his works of plywood. The work is signed and dated lower left in gold crayon ‘El Loko Expo 2000 Hannover’, numbered in the lower center ‘35/100’ and titled as well as inscribed in the lower right ‘Fragile Earth’. The condition is good with slight signs of wear. The overall size is 80 x 60 cm and the sheet measures 75 x 50 cm. Mo Edoga (1952-2014) Mo Edoga was a doctor who practiced in South Africa as a neurosurgeon and has since 1982 a studio on the Friesenheimer island. His art works were initially made of plywood, which he collected in 1988, after the flood of the Rhine Neckar. So his work (Huldigung an) Vater Rhein und Mutter Neckar was created, which was not only made of plywood but also of other finds, such as plastic and other.
