The former Soviet cosmonaut, Vladimir Alexandrovich Dzhanibekov (b. 1942) began with painting in his childhood. Meanwhile, he is a third cosmonaut after Alexey Leonov and Alan Bean whose works are exhibited in museums. He gets the inspiration for his motives from the space missions. Dzhanibekov has also illustrated several books. Furthermore, he has designed four stamps for Soviet post office.
