Born in Lithuania, Aleksander Dymitrowicz studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw from 1964 to 1970 under the guidance of the Professors Eugeniusz Geppert and Stanislaw Dawski. As of 1970, he was an assistant of Professor Jozef Halas. Since 1998, he has been working as a professor of painting and drawing at the University of Opole and the Faculty of ASP for painting, graphics and sculpture in Wroclaw. Dymitrowicz has presented his works in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe. Some of his works are in Polish, European and American collections.
