Inscribed and dated with the artist's name on the reverse (E. Dwurnik 1976), illegibly stamped in Polish and handwritten dated, titled and inscribed with the dimensions and technique on a printed adhesive label as well as inscribed, titled ("Bauernhof bei Danzig") and dated with the artist's name on a further adhesive label from the former Georg van Almsick Gallery. Summarizing, glazed to impasto painting style with broad contours. Dwurnik studied in Warsaw under Eugeniusz Eibisch and Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz; his works thematize rural life and life in the Warsaw suburbs in a characteristically simplified, sometimes deforming depiction with influences from "naive painting", among others. DWURNIK, EDWARD (Radzymin 1943-2018 Warsaw), Painting: "Zaloty - The Courtship", acrylic and oil on canvas, signed on top right "E. Dwurnik" and dated "74" (1974); on the reverse handwritten dated, titled and inscribed with the dimensions and technique on an adhesive label printed with the artist's name, as well as inscribed, titled ("Die Buhlerin") and dated on another adhesive label of the former Galerie Georg van Almsick. Summarized, glazed to impasto painting style with broad contours. Dwurnik studied in Warsaw under Eugeniusz Eibisch and Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz; his works thematise rural life and the life of Warsaw's suburbs in a characteristically simplified, partly deforming depiction, among other things with influences of "Naive Painting". A multitude of details, an often densely packed composition and city vedute are further elements of his paintings. 89,5 x 67 cm. Summarische, lasierende bis pastose Malweise mit breiter Konturierung. Dwurnik studierte in Warschau bei Eugeniusz Eibisch und bei Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz; seine Arbeiten thematisieren das ländliche Leben und das Leben der Warschauer Vorstädte in einer charakteristischen vereinfachenden, teils deformierenden Darstellung u. a. mit Einflüssen der "Naiven Malerei". Eine Vielzahl von Details, eine oft dicht gedrängte Komposition und Stadtveduten sind weitere Elemente seiner Gemälde. 89,5 x 67 cm. Aus dem Nachlass einer westfälischen Sammlung.
