Juan R. D. Durruthy Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Born in Havana, the artist Juan Roberto Diago Durruthy studied at the local San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts. He creates paintings, collages, mixed media works and installations that deal with the content of his identity as a Cuban and his African ancestors. Again and again, he takes up the issue of slavery. His work has been exhibited internationally, for example at the Venice Biennale in 1997.
