          Guillaume Dupré (1573-1642) attribuées à DEUX MÉDAILLES en plomb. Un filet de perles borde le nom des personnages inscrit en latin sur le pourtour, le profil en buste mordant sur celui-ci : " CHRISTIANA PRINC. LOTH. MAG. DUX HETRU " (Christine, princesse de Lorraine, grande duchesse d'Etrurie (Toscane). "MARCUS ANTONIUS MEMMO DUX VENETIARUM" (Marc-Antoine Memmo, Doge de Venise). France, début XVII° siècle. Diam 9,4 cm Guillaume Dupré (vers 1576-1643), appartient au milieu des grands sculpteurs français de la fin du XVI° siècle. Gendre de Barthélémy Prieur, il se forme sans doute dans son atelier. Ses gravures de médailles en fort relief trahissent cette influence, tout autant que leur finition exceptionnelle. Nommé en 1604 Contrôleur des poinçons et monnaies de France, il devient Premier sculpteur du Roi en 1611 (à la suite de son beau-père), puis Commissaire général de l'Artillerie (1629). On lui doit les effigies fameuses d'Henri IV et de Louis XIII.
