Buste de Louis XVI à droite ; en bordure de listel à droite, signature Dupré et daté 1836 Côté reverse R/ HOMMAGE DE TENDRESSE ET DE RECONNAISSANCE. Monsieur, frère du Roi (futur Louis XVIII), s'avançant vers Louis XVI en lui remettant une médaille faite avec de l'or trouvé dans les mines d'Allemont, situeés à l'arrière plan avec des ouvriers occupés à leur exploitation ; signature en bas à gauche : Dupré F. A l'exergue, en trois lignes : PRÉMICES DE L'OR TIRÉ DES MINES D'ALLEMONT/ OFFERTES AU ROI PAR MONSIEUR/ MDCCLXXXVI. Médailleur français dont l'œuvre est marquée par le néoclassicisme, Augustin Dupré est le 14e Graveur général des monnaies sous la Révolution française, recevant les commandes du gouvernement des États-Unis d'Amérique.     The first after Augustin Dupre (French 1748-1833), depicting on the obverse the portrait of John Paul Jones in profile, surrounded by "JOANNI PAVLO JONES/ CLASSIS PRAEFECTO/ COMITIA AMERICANA," and on the reverse ships engaged in battle, surrounded by "HOSTIVM NAVIBVS/ CAPTIS AVT FVGATIS," and below "AD ORAM SCOTIAE XXIII. SEPT. / M.DCCLXXVIIII. / DUPRE. F.;" the second medal after Laurent Joseph Hart (Belgian 1810-60) and issued in Antwerp (Anvers), Belgium, 1840, depicting Pierre-Paul Rubens, , depicting on the obverse a portrait of Pierre-Paul Rubens wearing a hat, and on the reverse a statue of Rubens at Antwerp, on a pedestal inscribed "PETRO PAULO RUBENS CIVI OLIM SUO S.P.Q.A. MDCCCXXXX," and around the edges "SOUVENIR DES FETES BISSECULAIRES CELEBREES EN L'HONNEUR DE RUBENS OFFERT PAR LES ARTISTES A L.
