Duell (1889-1946), h: 10.5 in.; a pill-shaped vase and two small vases molded with either fruiting strawberry vine or clover, high glass or matte glazed in either black, turquoise-blue or tinted-ivory (4) Provenance: Estate of Ronald Sperling Literature: Cecil A. Duell (1889-1946) was employed at Rookwood between 1907 and 1915. He married Katherine Van Horne, another Rookwood artist in 1912. He is perhaps best known for his sculptural pieces in the Arts & Crafts style.
