    Attributed to Alfred Milton Duca, American, 1920 to 1997, graphite pencil painting on paper, School Boy, 1949. Signed and dated, lower right. Framed. Alfred M. Duca, a native of Milton, Mass., and longtime resident of Annisquam, studied at Pratt Institute in New York from 1938 to 1941, and at the Boston Museum School in the early 1940s. He is credited with developing several new technical processes used in modern painting and sculpture, including the Polymer Tempera process. One of a kind artwork.

    Alfred Milton Duca (American, 1920-1997). An original polymer tempera painting on board. Titled. "Levantine," produced in the earthy realism of the artist's American Regionalist style. A figural group, it depicts a pair of cherubic child figures with decorative and furniture elements and other forms. Artist signed to the lower right. The title and additional information are hand written to the cardboard backing at the back. Original vintage BORIS MIRSKI (Boston, MA) gallery label affixed to the back. Presented under glass with a fabric mat border in a gilt frame. Work Size: 10 x 8 in. Dimensions: 14 X 12 X 1 in. Condition: Good overall condition having mild age related surface wear and slight irregularity to the shape of the board, as intended by the artist. Frame has mild to moderate storage wear and losses to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market.     Alfred Milton Duca (1920 - 1997) bronze and iron base horse. Attrib. to Alfred Duca. 18 inches long x 12 1/2 inches tall x 6 inches wide. Shipping 32 pounds. Alfred M. Duca, a native of Milton,Mass., and longtime resident of Annisquam, studied at Pratt Institute in New York from 1938 to 1941, and at the Boston Museum School in the early 1940s. In the 1960s and 1970s, Duca was commissioned to produce several major sculpturesin Boston. On Cape Ann, Duca is best known for his sculpture of Fitz Henry Lane which sits just outside Lane’s house on Duncan’s Point.
