      Josef Jan Alois Drda (1782-1833), Josef Bergler (1753-1829) SET OF GRAPHICS ACCORDING TO RAFFAEL AND SARTO. Five figural graphics according to Raffael and Andrea del Sarto, set meant as a study tool for Academy of Art in Prague. Copperplate on paper, graphics of different sizes (165x142 mm, 167x90 mm, 210x155?mm, 298x236 mm and 232x188 mm), marked in print. Josef Jan Alois Drda - Artist and copperplate maker, studied also Academy of Art in Prague where he worked since 19ˇ807 as an assistant. His engravings are following Bergeler´s school: according to J. Bergeler, Raffael, Domenichino, Reni, Garofal, Andrea del Sarto, Mengs, Markovský. Illustrational engravings for books, studies of heads. Josef Bergler jr. - First headmaster of Academy of Art in Prague. Born in Salzburg, worked in Passov and Italy and later became known in Prague. He was mostly drawer and designer. He also made many sets of graphics and designed for other authors as well. Mědirytina na papíře, grafické listy různých rozměrů (165x142 mm, 167x90 mm, 210x155 mm, 298x236 mm a 232x188 mm), zn. v tisku. Josef Jan Alois Drda - kreslíř a mědirytec, studoval nejprve u piaristů, poté od r. 1802 na pražské akademii, kde byl od r. 1807 asistentem grafické dílny. Jeho rytiny řazeny do Berglerovy školy: ryl dle předloh J. Berglera, Rafaela, Domenichina, G. Reniho, Garofala, Andrea del Sarto, R. Mengse, V. Markovského; ilustrační rytiny a frontispice pro knihy; rytiny podobizen, studie hlav. Josef Bergler ml. - první ředitel pražské Akademie umění. Narodil se v Salcburku, působil v Pasově a Itálii a nakonec se stal uznávanou autoritou v oblasti výtvarného umění v Praze. Byl především nadaným kreslířem a všestranným návrhářem. Vytvořil mimo jiné obsáhlý soubor grafických listů a navrhl množství grafik prováděných dalšími autory, včetně několika rakouských a saských.
