Automobilia – Noël Dorville (1874-1938) – Huile Rigal. Circa 1904. Imprimeur Wall. 160x117cm. Affiche originale, lithographie, entoilée. Condition A- petites restaurations dans les traces de plis. Grâce à son huile merveilleuse, un vieux chauffeur fonce et devance une voiture de course (peut-être la Napier L48 qui avait battu un record de vitesse en 1904), dans les rues de Paris. On devine l'Assemblée Nationale, le Pont Alexandre III et le Trocadéro. Étrangement, l'affiche fait aussi la promotion d'un revendeur situé à Chalon sur Saône.

NOËL DORVILLE (1874-1938) TROUVILLE. Circa 1895. 45½x27¾ inches, 115½x70½ cm. Minot, Paris. Condition B+: replaced losses in bottom margin; expertly-repaired tears and minor creases at edges and in image. Dorville was a French painter, best known for his political cartoons in newspapers and a small output of posters. He notably sketched at the 1899 trial of Alfred Dreyfus, and drew portraits of famous political figures at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. This is the smaller of two formats, with variations in the text formatting. Rare.
