Ofir Dor grew up in a working-class family in the small town of Ramatajim. Driven by the desire to understand the intention artists like Matisse, Picasso or Cezanne had in creating their works, he studied painting, so to this day, his works keep in touch with the spirit of these role models. His painterly style has developed into a telling means of expression derived from abstract expressionism and the lyrically abstract.
