In the tradition of Murano glassblowing, Alberto Dona creates contemporary vessels and vases, which are characterized by an exceptional size. Condition: The vase is in very good condition with minor signs of wear. The height measures 90.5 cm. Alberto Doná (b. 1944) Alberto Doná devoted himself to the art of blowing glass from the age of 13. He was strongly influenced by maestro Giovanni 'Nane Catari' Ferro, who was considered one of the most prominent glassblowers of Murano in the 1960s. In the early 1970s, Dona opened his own workshop and soon gained a reputation as a talented glass artist in his own right. He created numerous glass objects for manufacturers such as Venini, Reflex, and Saporiti. Doná has collaborated with numerous contemporary artists. His works have been shown in national and international exhibitions. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
