Gouache on academy board Vladimir Vladimirovich Dmitriev (1900-1948) – Russian painter and stage designer Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower left ‘1927’ In gilded period frame Dimensions: 39.8 x 49.5 cm Good condition Charming street scene in impressionist manner; the current highest bid for a street scene by Dmitriev is €4,500 The present gouache is the work of the Russian painter Vladimir Vladimirovich Dmitriev (1900-1948) and dates from 1927. It depicts one of the favorite subjects of the artist: the street view. Left and right lined by shops and houses, the wintery road runs up to a domed church with two spires.
