      GUMERSINDO DIAZ (Spanish, 1841-1891) BOUNTIFUL FRUIT. Large oil on canvas scene shows a large spread of colorful fruit with flowers against a panoramic landscape. Added colorful flowers and a dead bluebird complete the scene. In the beak of the bird is a piece of paper with the artist's name and "sevilla 1856". The city in the background is nestled by tall hills. Housed in its original liner. SIZE: 33" x 49-1/2". CONDITION: 4" tear to left corner, relined, craquelure with some restoration.
