      Berliner Künstler (Maler). Lithographie auf gewalztem China. 32,3 x 28,2 cm. Der gehörlos geborene Berliner Maler und Lithograph Wilhelm Devrient war seit den 1830er Jahren unter anderem mit seinen lithographischen Portraitfolgen von Berliner Persönlichkeiten, europäischen Monarchen oder der Königsfamilie, welche bei George Gropius erschienen, ausgesprochen erfolgreich. In dem vorliegendem Blatt präsentiert Devrient die reproduzierten Portraits verschiedener Berliner Künstlerkollegen, wie G. W. Völcker, Schoppe, Brandt, Buchhorn, von Klöber, Rösch und Gubitz, die er nach verschiedenen Vorlagen von Einzelportraits in der Art eines Gruppenbildnis arrangiert. - Ganz ausgezeichneter Druck mit der Schrift im Unterrand und mit schmalem Rand. Minimal stockfleckig sowie leichte Gebrauchsspuren, sonst gutes Exemplar. Unten mit dem Trockenstempel des Verlages George Gropius, Berlin (nicht bei Lugt). Beigegeben von demselben die Lithographie "Die Monarchen Europa´s", die auf dieselbe Weise arrangierte Einzelpotraits von u. a. Friedrich Wilhelm III., Kaiser Ferdinand I. oder William IV. zeigt.
