        This piece comes with a signed declaration from the artist, Lucinda Devlin, it reads as: "Lucinda DevlinThe Omega Suites (1991-1998)This set of 25 photographs from the series, The Omega Suites, was the first set sold in 2000. After acquiring gallery representation, Devlin changed the edition number from 35 to an edition of 15. All subsequent photographs were sold in an edition of 15. DevlinÂ’s book, The Omega Suites, was published by Steidl Verlag in 2000. The photographs were exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2001, and subsequently at many other museum venues over the years.         Lucinda Devlin Lake Huron, 7.31.2011; 6:09 am Pigment inkjet print on Harman Gloss FB AL Paper 2011. Edition 1/10. Provenance: the artist and Lee Marks Fine Art, Shelbyville, IN. Indianapolis-based photographer Lucinda Devlin (American, b. 1947) creates photographic series that explore contemporary manmade environments and natural environments. Her work is characterized by carefully composed and evenly balanced compositions. Devlin's past bodies of work include Pleasure Grounds, an investigation of absurd fantasy hotel rooms throughout the United States, and Water Rites, a series which documents spas and rehabilitation facilities across Germany. More recently, Devlin has begun to create landscapes, which feature farmlands throughout the U.S.' Corn Belt region and views of Lake Huron. Devlin received a BS from Eastern Michigan University in 1971, attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received an MFA in photography from Eastern Michigan University in 1974. Her work has been widely exhibited in the U.S. and abroad, including the 2001 Venice Biennale and 2002 Sao Paolo Biennial. She is represented in public art collections on an international scale, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Guggenheim Museum, New York; and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Devlin has received numerous grants and awards, such as an artist residency through the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst in 1999 and a fellowship through the National Endowment for the Arts in 1992. Her work has been shown around the world at venues such as at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Biblioth?que Nationale, Paris, France; and the 2001 Venice Biennale. 20" x 20" (image); 24" x 24" (paper)
