The scene most likely depicts a California locale as DeTreville specialized in painting charming landscapes of the San Francisco Bay area, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and northern California. A lovely landscape by De Treville mounted in an attractive custom frame. Size (sight view): 15.75" L x 19.625" W (40 cm x 49.8 cm) Size (frame): 23.25" L x 26.875" W (59.1 cm x 68.3 cm) About the artist: "Richard De Treville (1864-1929) was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on November 17, 1864.
