    1st item: Scarce mezzotint portrait on laid paper of Jean Baptiste Descamps by J.F. Rousseau, after a circa 1761 drawing (whereabouts unknown) by Charles N. Cochin (French, 1715-1790). Float mounted in a narrow gilt and ebonized molded frame. Sheet: 10 1/2" H x 7 3/4" W. Framed: 12 3/4" H x 10 1/4" W. Note: Cochin was an engraver to the court of Louis XV. Jean Baptiste Descamps was a French writer on art and artists, and painter of village scenes. He founded an academy of art and his son became a museum curator. Other known copies are in the collections of the British Museum and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. 2nd item: Philippe Thommasin (French, 1562-1622) engraving after the fresco painting "The Fire in the Borgo" (in reverse) by Raphael Sanzio de Urbino (Italian, 1483-1520) originally executed in 1514 in the Stanza dell'Incendio in the Vatican depicting the chaotic scene of multiple figures amid classical architecture fleeing or combating the fire that broke out in the Borgo in Rome in 847 CE. Reference to Raphael's fresco on a step at the lower left, Thomassin's publishing line and date at lower center, and dedication to Pietro Lanzi and motto at the lower right all in Latin. Little Gallery Framer's sticker label, en verso. Mounted on paper and housed under glass in a modern wooden frame. Plate: 17 1/4" H x 22 3/4" W. Sight: 20 1/2" H x 25 1/2" W. Frame: 22 3/4" H x 27 3/4" W. Circa 1610. 3rd item: 18th century engraved portrait on laid paper of an unidentified subject, artist unknown. The subject is depicted in early 18th century wig and clothing, standing in a naturalistic background and holding a telescope. Unframed. 10 7/8" H x 7 1/4" W.
