        a satire on the first of Pitt's loans, of £4,500,000, raised in March of 1793, depicting him as a pawnbroker with various characters queueing to exhcange various dubious goods, original hand-coloured etching, 245 x 350mm., [BM Satires 8326], J. Aitken, 1793; Harm Watch, Harm Catch, or, the Commissioners Become Hostages, or, the French Vermin in the German Trap, recounting the turn of events when the Convention sent Bournonville, Villeneuve, Camus and others to arrest General Dumourier, who was tipped off and imprisoned them first, handing them over to Prince Cobourg before himself defecting to the Austrians , all in April of 1793, the commissioners eventually being released by the Austrians in exchange for daughters of the late King Louis, in June of 1795, etching, 245 x 350mm., trimmed on or just within the platemark, a repaired tear lower left, mounted at edges to thin card support, [not in BM Satires], J.
