      L'Acte d'Humanité is an original artwork realized by Robert De Launay in 1786. Original etching on paper after Jean De Fraine. Lettered in French with names of designer and engraver, title, inscription in French giving details about the represented scene. Good conditions. Passepartout included. Very fresh and ancient impression realized by the French artist Robert De Launay, representing a lady visiting a family. The father is lying sick in bed surrounded by children. The other members of the family are showing their despair. Advertised in the Journal de Paris, 17 July 1786, the plate was inspired by an aristocrat who helped a destitute family living in a village near her castle in Picardie (France). This artwork was realized by Robert De Launay, a French engraver and etcher (1749 - 1814). 30 x 33.5 (foglio), 32.5 x 48 (passepartout)
