Michel (1933) Delacroix Art for Sale at Auction

Lithographer, Printer

Artist Michel Delacroix was born in 1933 in Paris and grew up during the German Occupation. Michel Delacroix's paintings reflect the city of that time with its absence of cars and street lights. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and then worked as an art teacher. He experimented with various painting styles until he discovered his unique naif style that, with its flat, almost two-dimensional representations combined with strong colors, evokes the atmosphere of the past.

Many Michel Delacroix paintings are of Paris, although his portfolio includes other cities and landmarks. He was selected as the official artist for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, which grew demand for Michel Delacroix's prints for sale. He has received several awards celebrating his gentle, primitive style including the Grand Prix des Amateurs d’Art (Paris). Bring the world into your home with outstanding cityscape paintings for sale at auction.
