Inscribed in secondary handwriting "Dep. N. 7". Nearly monochrome surface with vertical lineaments at equal intervals; the left, right and lower edges of the painting with flat surface. The artist studied at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti in Turin and traveled to Paris, Amsterdam and Munich. Analytical painting, also known as "planned" painting, is a direction of contemporary art that began in the 1970s, which takes painting itself and its materials as its subject (canvas, surface, application of paint) and addresses the intrinsic value of the painterly act. Using white as the primary color - applied in stripes, dabs or as a monochrome surface - the artists often examine the application of paint, the quality of the paint or the canvas (in addition to canvas, also metal, plastic or cardboard). 145,5 x 99,5 cm (partially rubbed, bumped and spotted).
