His work has been characterized by his ability to evoke with intense plasticity images of fairy tales and legendary places with unique colors.in 2007 the painter is invited to exhibit his works in the artistic review "A sea of art" - "Mediterranean mirror of the sky" which takes place in Palermo (Palazzo S. Elia) - Civitavecchia (Forte Michelangelo) - Frosinone (Villa Municipal). In 2009 on the island of Sant'Antioco he exhibited as part of the Contemporary Art Competition that takes place there: "Arciere". In 2010 took place another relevant recognition by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which collects De Romanis Paintings in the Farnesina Collection in Rome. In 2011 he was invited to the 54th Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition - Regions of Italy curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. In 2012 he exhibited the series of works The Painted Thought - The Mystical Force of the Eastern World at the Vicolo Valdina Complex - Chamber of Deputies, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. In October 2012, the paintings of the new great work "At the origin of things" are exhibited at the "Centro Elsa Morante" in Rome, presented by Arch. Roberto Luciani in a catalog. In 2013 the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities General Directorate of Landscape, Fine Arts. Architecture and Contemporary Art, acquires 5 paintings of the series "At the origin of things" on permanent exhibition. In 2015 the publishing house Palombi publishes and distributes the biography "De Romanis pictor" by Antonio Venditti with a presentation by Roberto Luciani. In 2016 he was invited to exhibit 33 works at the Church of Santa Maria dell'Orto in Rome "De Romanis a Santa Maria dell'Orto" Exhibition conceived and curated by Roberto Luciani. Catalog published by the Publishing House "Dei Merangoli - Rome. In 2019 he is invited to exhibit at the Civic Archaeological Museum of Anzio, a series of paintings for a project of dialogue between Archaeology and modern and contemporary art. Exhibition conceived and curated by Roberto Luciani, catalog edited by the Publisher" National Academy of Ancient and Modern Art ". On February 9, 2021 the anthological exhibition De Romanis was inaugurated at the Monumental Complex of San Salvatore in Lauro in Rome. Art meets dreams, curated by Roberto Luciani (Il Cigno catalog). The event traces the entire career, from the beginnings to the last production. Vittorio Sgarbi writes in 2005: "For De Romanis, the immersion in the East is also a technical choice, it is an attempt to appropriate the sensitivity in the relationship with things and also with the typical materials of the East: the lacquers of these surfaces so dense in color. This is perhaps the most interesting aspect of De Romanis' research at this stage, a research in which technology is at the service of the spirit".
