        social satire of two gentlemen in an interior, one tall and lean, the other short and stout, with their corresponding dogs, original hand-coloured etching, 175 x 245mm., trimmed on or just within the platemark, blank lower left of title field also clipped, a short tear lower right, slight browning, [not in BM Satires, but BM holds near contemporary re-issue by Sayer & Bennett, and reversed contemporary German copy], by the artist, 1773; General Sanguinaire, Mark-Ham, whom the Patriarch Noah cursed, satire on the newly appointed Archbishop of York, William Markham, fierce critic of the American revolution, who later spoke in support of Warren Hastings, etching, 355 x 245mm., [BM Satires 5400], by the artist, 1777; with a small caricature portrait bust of a gentleman in profile, also by Darly, 1780 (3)
