DSB III, 558. – Zweiter, umfangreich erweiterter Druck der Abhandlung über die Konstruktion von Astrolabien des aus Perugia stammenden Mathematikers, Astronomen und Kartographen Ignazio Danti (1536-1586). Der DSB zählt die Schriften Dantis zu den frühesten atsronomischen Werken Italiens. Die auf dem Titel recto aufgeführten Erweiterungen in dieser Ausgabe stammen meist von Ptolemäus. – Titel und Innenspiegel mit Tintenspritzern, vorderer fl. Vorsatz entfernt, zahlreiche Lagen mit Wurmspur im oberen Bug. Insgesamt etwas stockfleckig, stellenweise mit schmalem Wasserrand.

    Florence, Giunti, 1573. In 4 °. Large and elaborate Medici coat of arms in the center of the title page with the representation of the cosmos where the six Medici balls stand out, countless diagrams and images in the text, slight browning, 19th century binding in cardboard. Evanescent traces of ownership note on the title page, thickly annotated by a contemporary hand but the notes partially trimmed.

    In-4° (mm 216x152). Pagine [8] 194 [i.e. 192] 38 [10]. Bello stemma mediceo con sullo sfondo il globo terreste al frontespizio e in calce alla Dedica capilettera abitati e molte figure e diagrammi nel testo il tutto xilografico. Esemplare allentato internamente con fioriture sparse e alcune macchie marginali. Legatura muta coeva in piena pergamena molle con lacerti di legacci un poco lisa. Alcune pagine con fitte note di mano seicentesca.
