Elmar Dam is a Dutch artist born in 1976.

The photographs of Elmar Dan come straight out of his imagination, his dreams full of delirious images and senseless flashes. Absurdity is a main part of his photographs and the artist and architect Antoni Gaudi is one of his biggest sources of inspiration, in addition to references from cinema, theater and television. In fact, Elmar Dan admires Gaudi's work for its unrestrained fantasies and the craziness of his extravagant creations.

Preferring surrealism to the warmth of the expression of a certain reality, Elmar Dam creates the preview of a story, while not fixing his artistic approach to a precise representation style. He works with a complete team that accompanies him all along in his creative process, together they try to always push further their artistic limits and possibilities.
