        William Bower Dalton, ARCA, (1868-1965)Two early 20th century watercolours, the first entitled 'New York Harbour' in a later hand verso, 6.25 x 7.5, (16cm x 19cm), in card mount, framed under glass, plus a second larger watercolour entitled 'Southern USA' verso, monogrammed and dated 1946 lower left,10.5 x 13.5, (26.5cm x 34cm), (2)Provenance: from the family of the artist, by descent. Both slightly discoloured (sky to first is speckled but this may be the paper), otherwise OK.

        William Bower Dalton ARCA, British 1868-1965- Cherub; oil on canvas, signed, 63x26.5cm, (unframed) (a/f) (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Note: William Bower Dalton is predominantly recognised as a pioneer in studio ceramics in Britain. Born in Wilmslow, Cheshire. He was a member of the Art Workers Guild for 57 years, from 1908 until his death in 1965. From 1899-1919 Dalton was Principal of Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, and also Curator of the South London Art Gallery, which he continued until about 1931. He exhibited paintings at the Royal Academy between 1931-6.
