An exceptional colorist, Daily strategically places each hue within the context of others to maximize their impact. In addition, his exceptional command of light draws our attention to the striking vase and sinuous tendrils.       Mark Daily (Born 1944) Cemetery at Fuveau Late 20th Century The view of a hundreds year old cemetery near Marseilles France is signed lower left front and has additional inscriptions verso. Mark Daily has shared that what he, ''considers most important is the ability of a painting to evoke a sense of place.'' The artist seems to have successfully captured the essence and atmosphere of this place, perhaps through his use of lighting, color palette and perspective. How he did it is not as clear as what the picture evokes. Board measures 9.5 x 13.75 with a framed size of 14.5 x 19 inches.
