Czech 1897’ Dimensions: 17.2 x 22.5 cm Very good condition Provenance: Private collection, Austria Emil Czech was a specialist in the field of watercolor painting; his works on paper have already fetched up to c. €13,500 at international auctions Object is regular taxed. 19% VAT is added to the purchase price for deliveries within the EU. A young girl has approached the group from the side and feeds one child with a cherry. The grandmother is depicted in the distance and seems to wonder about the cheering crowd. The watercolor captivates through its high technical quality and well-composed motif. The work is signed and dated lower right ‘E. Czech 1897’. The lower left corner is slightly torn und has been supported from the backside. The paper is browned due to age and matted. The sheet size is 17.2 x 22.5 cm and the framed overall dimensions are 29 x 34 cm. Emil Czech (1862-1929) Emil Czech was trained at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna.
