Bernadine (Sharp) Custer was active/lived in New York, Vermont, Illinois, and is known for landscape and still life painting. A painter, illustrator, muralist, and writer, Bernadine Custer was born in Bloomington, Illinois and lived during her professional years in New York City and Londonderry, Vermont where she was a member of the Southern Vermont Artists. She exhibited at the Chicago Art Institute, Corcoran Gallery, the Pennsylvania Academy, and with the Society of Independent Artists. Her murals are at the Treasury Department in Washington DC.
