Original design for a Gothic reredos, detailed design flanked by figures of prophets in niches, pencil and watercolour, heightened with body white, annotated above, 230 x 315mm., c.1860 § Comper (J.B.S., F.R.I.B.A.) Architect. Church of St. John the Evangelist: East Dulwich design for reconstruction, perspective interior view by Hubert Williams, pen and black ink with monochrome ink wash, inscription centre and right bottom, 360x 305mm., 1947. (5) These designs were for St Anne s Church, Soho. Curtis was the principal designer of the firm Curtis, Ward & Hughes after he took over the firm in 1883.Provenance; Ben Weinreb Catalogue 31 No 634, 1976.
