Later he was transferred to Tucson, where he worked as an entomologist, and was active in the Tucson Fine Arts Association. He was represented by Gallery 261.Curtis, who attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, studied watercolor painting with Gerry Peirce, and was a painting companion with Pete Martinez, Maynard Dixon and Ray Strang.
