Pieter Cosijn (?) (1630 Rijswijk – Den Haag nach 1667) – Flusslandschaft mit zwei Figuren auf einer Anhöhe

Öl auf Holz, parkettiert. 46,5 x 65,4 cm. Gerahmt. Firnis leicht nachgedunkelt. Ein durchgehender, horizontaler Riss im Bildträger. Die Bildkanten rahmungsbedingt berieben, im unteren Rand einige winzige Farbabplatzungen. Wir danken Ellis Dullaart, RKD, Den Haag, für die wissenschaftliche Unterstzützung bei der Katalogisierung dieses Werks. RefOld13921 LANDSCHAFT MIT KLEINER FUSSGÄNGER-BRÜCKE ÜBER EINEN FLUSS Öl auf Holz. 55 x 80 cm. In dekorativem Rahmen.Blick von erhöhtem Standpunkt auf eine felsige bewaldete Landschaft, unter hohem hellblauem Himmel mit kleineren weißen Wolkenformationen. Rechts eine höher gelegene steinige Uferseite, von der aus ein kleiner schmaler Holzsteg zur anderen Uferseite mit einem kleinen Wasserfall führt. Auf dem Steg mehrere Fußgänger erkennbar. Auf dem von Felsen umsäumten rechten Uferstück weitere Figuren sichtbar, umgeben von hohen wuchtigen alten Bäumen mit in grünen und bräunlich gefärbten Blättern, die auf den nahenden Herbst bereits hindeuten könnten. Pieter Cosijn is one of the landscape painters from Haag. He is a successor to the Anthonie Jansz van der Croos (1606–1662 / 63) and his pictures were often attributed to van der Croos. The present picture is signed P COSIN 16. The third digit of the dating is unfortunately not clearly legible, the last one is no longer recognizable. A dilapidated tower of a city wall stands in the shade on the bank of a watercourse, in the background further old towers of a city rise. A tree on the left edge of the picture frames the view with trunk and crown. In the 17th century, the Dutch landscape painters took a liking to the picturesque, medieval buildings in their country and often used them as motifs. The graphic brush style is typical of Pieter Cosijn.

Caratteristico Ã¨ anche il raffinato controluce, che pone in risalto le fronde degli alberi, manifestando una sensibilitÃ non comune nell'evocare le ambientazioni atmosferiche. Questi aspetti consentono al Cosijn di descrivere con verve realistica la natura sulla scia di Jan Van Goyen. L'opera Ã¨ corredata da una scheda critica di Raffaella Colace.
