Barrie A. F. Clark's framed Spitfire paintings depict the planes airborne, often amid darkened skies or among rays of sunlight.The UK-born artist is renowned for his detailed aircraft images. His father served in the Royal Flying Corps as a pilot, and his enthusiasm for steam locomotives and model aircraft inspired Clark’s art. In December 1962 Clark completed his training at Northampton College of Art. Barrie A.F. Clark's Spitfire pictures for sale are sought after by military, aircraft, and WWII art collectors.

Clark designed and built prototypes for toys for a time in 1967 before becoming a full time artist. Barrie A. F. Clark paintings that depicted aircraft images became his most recognizable, though he also painted locomotives and other subjects.His genuine interest in locomotives and aircraft, coupled with his parents' encouragement to pursue his art, helped Barrie A.           Barrie A. F. Clark (b.1943) "Spitfire" VB of 243 Squadron, Oil on Board Framed. Canvas measures approximately 20 inches X 40 inches, set in a 25.5 inch X 45.5 inch frame. Appears to be in good overall condition with wear or slight imperfection consistent with age and would display wonderfully in anyones home, shop or office.

CLARK (BRITISH, B. 1943) The Great Yarmouth Steam Tug Company P.T. ‘Tom Perry’ Signed and dated ‘Barrie A.F. Clark ‘76' (lower left) Oil on canvas 19 x 29¼in. (48.3 x 74.3cm.) Launched in 1878, the 78-ton wooden steam paddle tug Tom Perry was a part of the Nicholson Towage Co., Great Yarmouth. Vulnerable coastal traffic passing the port often needed assistance in rough weather and the tug crews from Great Yarmouth were only too ready to take risks for the salvage rewards. In one incident in 1906, nine tugs were involved in the rescue of the Newburn. Three companies took part in the rescue, with Tom Perry receiving £200 in salvage rewards for her part in the rescue. In 1920, after a collision that resulted in significant damage, the Tom Perry was broken up and sold for scrap. CR: Fine overall condition; Frame: 23½ x 33½in.
