陳衡恪　花卉蔬果冊水墨、設色紙本　十二開冊姚華每開對題湯滌、姚華題封面邵章、羅惇㬊題扉頁周大烈後跋封面：〈湯〉朽道人畫冊。〈姚〉此定之所題，師曾語我云然。乙丑重陽，蓮華盦記，茫茫。扉頁：〈一〉朽道人畫冊。己未清明日，仁和邵章伯冋。〈二〉茫父題朽道人花卉冊子。惇㬊。題識：〈竹石〉一梢三兩葉，留作歲寒枝。不墜凌雲意，孤零尚爾奇。戊午十一月二十又七日，茫父。〈風竹〉薄裏籠紗綠映枝，亭亭素影落秋池。晚風誤響南金佩，暝吹天寒月上時。此二十年前舊作，意似劍南，少年喜作綺思，追錄題此，以志壯悔。〈牽牛〉百日秋光百日花，豆棚瓜架趁風華。豪門要起無人賞，闈盡深山處士家。〈荷〉墜粉如煙不可尋，池塘水滿綠香沉。花開咸賞復花落，誰識房中多苦心。〈佛手柑〉欲識如來無相，天龍指可證禪。惟有金剛努目，護法竊佛一拳。〈菊〉昔人菊喜瘦，今人菊喜肥。我生性喜菊，肥瘦無是非。豐嗇量其入，年年買秋歸。一臥幾（平聲）十年，從人飽復飢。幸及辦千錢，猶堪徇荊扉。對此慰幽獨，相約惜芳菲。〈白芙蓉〉楚國詩騷亦剪裁，蕭條屈原可憐才。風煙里舍重重發，水木江鄉處處栽。曉色霜中能伴菊，殘枝月下欲更梅。年年北地秋寒早，守盡十年一度開。〈鷄冠花〉（錄〈調虞美人〉）己未清明晚窗填詞。〈秋瓜〉濃露下荒園，田父飽秋實。粥飯無兼味，雜煮甘如蜜。婦子並果腹，乞笑便促膝。人間肉糜失，味勝乃多疾。應知珠與玉，不如蓬與篳。〈白梅〉（錄〈花犯．譜清真〉）〈天竹〉絳珠碧玉青琅玕，朔風刻削雕枝竿。萬樹梅花冒山寒，其中穿插紛斑斕。凍雀欲啄防將彈，惟有山人耐老看。明日歲朝亦可攀，瓦缶土尊聊相安。窮檐皪皪冬日乾，大竽如斗和摩丸。對之言笑雜喧歡，東風次第從頭翻。野人戴髻呼春官，朱實連葉稱釵鬟。白頭老子笑破顔，自從辭家今未還。斯樂久已成雕刊，北來冬冷心寡歡。一盆兩盆致之艱，畫中見爾益姍姍。如何筆墨如此慳，恨不尋丈寫千山。〈梅石〉（錄〈臨江仙〉）題跋：南來與汝坐看花，比似東園（湖南撫署花園，丙申、丁酉予客於此，師曾從問字）一半差。十載霜黃兼雪白，蓮庵（重光居蓮花盦，予往來寓之近十年）門外幾株斜。水邊林下立多時，惱殺寧州舊畫師。粉盡脂消香味少，嬾圖蜂蝶上殘枝。己未四月，湘潭周大烈題於宣内寓舍。鈐印：〈陳〉「師曾」、「槐堂」、「師曾」、「陳衡愙」、「陳師曾」、「朽道人」、「衡愙之印」、「朽道人」、「槐堂」、「陳衡愙」、「師曾」、「陳衡愙印」。〈姚〉姚華鈐印共十九方。〈邵〉「邵章私印」（鈐於扉頁）、「邵章曾觀」。〈周〉「周氏大烈」、「桂堂」。藏印：「姚鋈私印」、「姚陳淑媛」。來源：得自北京市文物商店。具發票，日期為一九六九年一月卅一日，售價人民幣三百元。封面具文物商店標簽。註：陳師曾與姚茫父乃莫逆交，二人同生於一八七六年，皆負笈東瀛，入民國後，俱任教於北京女子師範學校、北京美術專科學校，有仝事之誼。俱擅詩文，對書畫藝術旨趣相投，時相往還切磋畫藝，復賦詩酬唱，或互為題跋，時有合作，且共同參與各種文藝團體，在民初京華畫壇居領導地位，並稱「姚陳」。本冊即「陳畫姚題」者，各開出以寫意，用筆簡約，不尚修飾，得自然鮮活之趣，構圖頗具巧思，正畫家胸中文人氣息之呈現。各開均未署款，僅鈐印，其中〈白芙蓉〉一開所鈐「衡愙之印」刻於一九一四年，可知本冊創作年代不早於此。一九一八、一九年間，茫父每開對題詩詞，復倩邵章、羅惇㬊、周大烈題扉頁、後跋。師曾歿後兩載，茫父重觀此册，再署封面，「師曾語我云然」，至交音容宛在眼前，令人不勝唏噓。題跋者周大烈（1862-1934），湖南湘潭人。出身書香門第，曾受陳寶箴邀，課其孫衡恪。後負笈日本，與姚華同窗。師曾歿後，周大烈囑陳氏門人張恬輯〈染倉室印存〉，茫父爲之作序。姚鋈（1895-1969），姚華長子，畢業於東京帝國大學農學部，歸國後執教於河北省立農學院、國立北平大學等校。畫 painting: each 31.5 x 19.8 cm 12⅜ x 7¾ in.(12) 書 calligraphy: various sizes ---------------------------------------------- Chen Hengke 1876 - 1923 Flowers and Fruits ink on paper; ink and colour on paper, album of 12 leaves with 1 seal of the artist on each leaf. CHOW FAMILY COLLECTION (LOTS 3121-3128) 仇焱之家族收藏（編號3121-3128）仇焱之（1910-1980），江蘇太倉人，以收藏中國陶瓷聞名中外。眼光之精，品味之高，向為業界所推重，不少流傳有緒，為世所珍之稀有瓷器均源自其收藏。一九四九年移居香港，六七年在瑞士日内瓦退休。仇氏以陶瓷藏珍聞名於世，惟亦涉獵書畫，偶有示人者，不論畫家名氣身份，作品質量皆與其收藏要旨一脈相承。本輯所集，自清中期至同代名家，如何紹基之室名匾額，出自湖南譚氏舊藏，墨韻淋灕；秦祖永山水，筆墨清秀，文人氣質盡現；駱綺蘭畫王文治題，師徒書畫合而為一，蔚為佳話；謝稚柳、陳衡恪寫竹，一水墨一設色，雅緻飄逸；吳昌碩清荷，色墨恣放；舊交張大千之大幅山水，寫於居停西寧期間，亟為稀見。諸家風格雖異，皆有可觀。部份包裝紙張仍保留仇氏親筆批註，寶愛之甚，由此可見！

Chen Hengke (1876-1923), China 130 x 31,2 cm Garden Rock with Chrysanthemums and Amaranth. Hanging scroll, 130 x 31,2 cm, ink and colors on paper. Signature by the artist: „For the elegant judgment of my friend Jiuming, Hengke.” One seal of the artist: „Seal of Chen Hengke“ (Chen Hengke yin). One collector’s seal: “Yulu zhuren suo cang”. From an old Berlin private collection, acquired by the father of the present owner in the 1960s Chen Hengke, also spelled Chen Hengque, style name Shizeng, was from Yining in Jiangxi. He was born into an old literati family and his grandfather and father both were government officials. So he received a classical education and began to learn painting at the age of six. From 1902 to 1909 he studied in Japan. There he became acquainted with the works of the early Qing dynasty individualist painter Shitao (1642-1707) who advocated an individualistic, expressive style. After returning from Japan Chen Hengke spent some time in Shanghai where he studied with Wu Changshuo (1844-1927) and was deeply influenced by this master’s epigraphic brush style based on seal script and seal carving. Finally Chen moved to Peking where he became one of the leading masters in the traditional literati style combining orthodox painting techniques with subjective expression and epigraphic brushwork. This is evident in this painting for example in the vigorous strokes in the chrysanthemum flowers and the expressive depiction of the garden rock Very minor traces of age
