      Brustbildnis einer jungen Frau, mit Blumenschmuck im Haar, nach links blickend. -- Zeichnung aux trois crayons, weiß gehöht. 10 x 6, 3 cm. Signiert: "P.re Ch.lat". -- -- Der Miniaturmaler Pierre Chasselat war ein Schüler von Joseph-Marie Vien. Der Künstler stellte im Pariser Salon Genre- und Bildnisminiaturen aus und trug den wohlklingenden Titel peintre en miniature des Mesdames de France. Chasselats kleinformatige Porträts zeichnen sich durch ihre große technische Virtuosität und ihre subtile Anwendung der mehrfarbigen Kreidetechnik aus.
