Signed "Georges Robin" lower right. Retains an old gallery label for Vixseboxse Art Galleries, Inc, Cleveland, OH. Housed in a carved and painted rococo style frame wth painted wood mat. Sight: 17 3/4" H x 21" W. Framed: 26" H x 29 1/4" W.

The jardiniere takes a special position in the entire work of Orivit AG. It was probably commissioned by the French sculptor and medalist Georges Charles Coudray especially for the 1900 Paris World Fair to appeal to Parisian tastes. As a signed art object, it has no parallel in the plastic production of Orivit AG.
