      Debbie Chapman: Empath

      Est: €900 - €1,500

Debbie Chapman is a contemporary Irish artist working from a studio in West Dublin. She exhibits internationally and has been commissioned for public, corporate and personal collections. Debbie creates contemporary artwork remaining fluid and versatile in approach. She explores different media such as oil, acrylics and hints of collage. Her practice is predominantly figuratively based. Organic shapes and brilliant blocks of colour often collaborate with realism, creating an exciting yet harmonious balance. In creating, I am concerned with understanding humanity’s place within the biosphere and the complexities of coexistence with other human beings as well as the planet as an entire organism. I’m interested in our historical and contemporary beliefs in Gods and how this belief has been used to shape society in God’s name. The driving force behind all of my work is the persistent effort to refine better techniques, through painting, to convey my observations and create a visual dialogue that invites contemplation and introspection.

      Debbie Chapman - I'm Fine

      Est: €400 - €550

Artwork Information: Signed: Yes Framed: No Original: Yes Numbered Edition: No Edition Info: N/A Artist Information: Based in West Dublin, I paint from my studio in Chapelizod beside the Phoenix Park. I exhibit internationally and have work in public, corporate and personal collections. I use oil and mixed media on archival paper, wooden panels and canvas. While I remain fluid and versatile in my approach and choice of subjects, a common thread runs throughout the work; my attraction to the often unseen and unnoticed. Unnoticed moments that can either flash or languidly pass before us. Unseen characters that inhabit the spaces and worlds between us. Unnoticed parts of ourselves - but that recently, have revealed themselves a little more often perhaps. Unseen moments of reflection.
