Unframed. 15-1/2" x 11-3/4" Notes: The midwestern artist Guy M. Chapel studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1902, Chapel made an extended trip south to New Orleans. The architecture of the historic French Quarter and flourishing art community intrigued the artist. From his studio's window, Chapel painted the vista of the historic buildings on Toulouse Street between Royal and Chartres Streets.
