Cenni, Quinto (Imola, 20 marzo 1845 – Carate Brianza, 13 agosto 1917) Original ink drawings Two original drawings by the well-known painter Quinto Cenni, ink on paper. One is entitled "The village attacked" signed on the right CENNI, and the second one is "Battaglia di Vaterloo" signed in the lower center with CENNI INVENTO'. In the 19th century, photography was still in its infancy, for this reason an expert and skilled illustrator like Cenni was employed in illustrated magazines, and from 1870 he collaborated as an illustrator specialized in military subjects with various magazines, "Epoca", "Emporio pittesco" , "Modern culture", "Garbini Illustrated Magazine", "Reading", "The Elf Spirit", "Emporium" and, mainly, "Italian Illustration". He carried out a detailed research work on all the details of the uniforms and equipment of the Italian pre-unification armies and on the Italian Army. Very good condition. The drawings measure approximately 19x28 cm each, inserted in a frame with measures of 59x49 cm. Very good condition.
