CELMINS, VIJA 1938 Riga, Lettland Title: Untitled (for Parkett 44). Date: 1995. Technique: Mezzotinto on Hahnemühle (watermark). With portfolio. Depiction Size: 12,5 x 13cm. Sheet Size: 40,5 x 35,5cm. Notation: Signed and numbered. Publisher: Parkett-Verlag, Zurich (publisher). Number: 1/20. Frame: Framed. Condition: Verso mounted. Otherwise the print is in very good condition. With Parkett magazine. "Vija Celmins's mature work is a repeated image of uninhabitability, without foothold or air. It depicts space liquefied or rarefied, and further carbonized in the rendering. It is a space of drowning or asphyxiation, and, though without fantasy's comforts, of dreams."
