ALBERTO CASTRO LEÑERO (Mexico, 1951). "Coaticue, 2017. Aluminium. Signed in Size: 79,5 x 30 x 23 cm. In this piece the sculptor combines the strength of the material, which, presenting a twisted character, creates a set of angular forms, where the vertices and straight lines stand out. Thus creating an image that varies between the polygon and the polyhedron, as the author achieves a volumetric game by playing with the material and the space created by its torsion. ALBERTO CASTRO LEÑERO (Mexico, 1951). "Cerco", 2016. Bronze. Signed. Size: 14 x 30 x 24 cm. Round sculpture whose form is reminiscent of abstraction in an organic way. It is a piece that, despite the rigidity of the material, seems ductile. The sculptor has managed to capture the movement through the twisting of the bronze, with which he forms different waves of volumetric character. However, this circumference is supported by a base whose volume of straight, emphatic lines creates a dialectic interplay of the forms that make up the sculptural ensemble. "9 x 10 escultura". México. Impronta Editores, 2005. pp. 6-7. 51 x 24 x 10 cm
