        Property of a Florida Collector Description: Alfred Casella (American, 1886-1971), 3 Monoprint Landscapes, comprising 'Sunset' pencil signed lower right and titled lower left depicting a mountain at sunset (plate size: 9 7/8 in. x 11 7/8 in.; faint toning to paper), a mountainous landscape in tones of blue and green, pencil signed lower right (plate size: 10 in. x 12 in., frame size: 14 1/4 in. x 16 5/8 in.), and a landscape with trees in tones of blue and green, pencil signed lower right (plate size: 10 in.x 12 in., frame size: 14 1/4 in. x 16 5/8 in., some minor foxing), all matted and framed with 'The Print Rooms, Inc.' gallery label on verso. Measurements: Height: of largest frame 15 3/8 in. x Width: 20 3/8 in. Condition: Overall good condition, not viewed out of frames, see description for details.

Firmato al frontespizio e in fine allo spartito. Carte conservate in legatura in pelle marrone con titolo in oro al piatto. Dimensioni: 290x215 mm.

Alfred Joseph Casella was born in San Francisco, CA on Feb. 28, 1886. Casella studied locally at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. While painting in his leisure, he operated a lighting company from 1901. A lifelong resident of his native city, he died there on March 9, 1971. His work includes landscapes and a series of San Francisco street scenes. Exh: San Francisco Art Association, 1916-25; Calif. Liberty Fair, 1918; Calif.
