Originaltitel In pastosem Farbauftrag und kontrastreichem Kolorit gemalte Figurenszene vor schemenhaft geometrisch angelegter Häuserkulisse. In Stil und Motiv charakteristisches Werk des argentinisch-brasilianischen Künstlers, der 1927-1929 an der Akademie in Rio de Janeiro ausgebildet wurde und im Laufe der Jahre zahlreiche Illustrationen für renommierte Zeitungen und Bücher schuf. Ab 1939 wurden seine Werke international in Gruppen- und Einzelausstellungen gezeigt und befinden sich heute in öffentlichen Sammlungen wie u. a. dem MOMA in New York, aber auch in der Sammlung Rolf Italiaander und Hans L. Spegg in Reinbek. In den 1960er Jahren schuf Carybé Wandgemälde für den John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, die heute im International Airport Miami zu sehen sind.
