    Oil on canvas illustration shows a man in light colored summer suit, white shirt with red tie and matching hat. Looks toward the young woman in summer blue dress who he carries in his arms. Her left arm is draped across his shoulders and her right arm extends down holding a wide brimmed hat with red ribbon. Signed and dated "Pruett Carter 30". This probably was used as a cover illustration. During this time, he worked for Woman's Home Companion and also provided illustrations for McCall's and Lady's Home Journal. Housed in a decorative modern frame. SIZE: 39" x 28". CONDITION: Relined. Inpainting. Very good. 9-98424
