        Featured in this lot is this silver gelatin photograph called "On The Trail," circa 1900-1910 by notable American photographer Charles Carpenter born in 1869 and died in 1949. This photograph is wonderfully and professionally crafted in a sepia toned silver gelatin photograph with applied color of a mounted Plains Indians below the base of a butte with a hill formed below it. The photographer's signature can be seen in the bottom right hand corner and is titled in the bottom left hand corner "On The Trail." Charles Carpenter (1869-1949) worked as the photographer for Chicago's Field Museum between 1899 and 1947. During his time there, he participated in several excursions. His last trip sent him to the St. Louis World's Fair (1904) where he produced 3000 negatives of American Indians. The condition of this framed silver gelatin shows a well preserved stature with some wear to the frame in small segments but otherwise shows no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed photograph is 12 1/8" x 14 1/8" and the visible 7 3/8" x 9 1/2".

        Featured in this lot is this silver gelatin photograph called "The Old Hunting Grounds," circa 1900-1910 by notable American photographer Charles Carpenter born in 1869 and died in 1949. This photograph is wonderfully and professionally crafted in a sepia toned silver gelatin photograph with applied color of a mounted Plains Indian on a hillside looking out over the valley. The photographer's signature is shown in the bottom right hand corner along with the title of the piece in the bottom left hand corner "The Old Hunting Grounds." Charles Carpenter (1869-1949) worked as the photographer for Chicago's Field Museum between 1899 and 1947. During his time there, he participated in several excursions. His last trip sent him to the St. Louis World's Fair (1904) where he produced 3000 negatives of American Indians. The condition of this framed Silver Gelatin photograph shows a well preserved stature that shows some slight wear to the corners of the frame but otherwise shows no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed photograph is 11 7/8" x 14" and the visible photograph measures 7 1/2" x 9 3/8".

        Featured in this lot is a silver gelatin photograph called "Morning Ride," circa 1900-1910, from notable American photographer Charles Carpenter born in 1869 and died in 1949. The photograph is wonderfully and professionally crafted in a sepia toned silver gelatin photograph with applied color of a pair of mounted Plains Indians on a ridge wrapped up in trade cloth blankets to protect from the wind and weather. The artist signature is in the bottom right hand corner of the photograph with the title in the bottom left hand corner "Morning Ride." Charles Carpenter (1869-1949) worked as the photographer for Chicago's Field Museum between 1899 and 1947. During his time there, he participated in several excursions. His last trip sent him to the St. Louis World's Fair (1904) where he produced 3000 negatives of American Indians. The condition of this silver gelatin shows well preserved stature that shows wear to the side of the right of the frame and no obvious signs of damage overall. The measurements of this framed photograph are 10 1/8" x 13 1/8" and the visible photograph itself is 7 1/4" x 9 1/4".*
