Manuel Capon Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Manuel Capón (1965, Lugo) is a self-taught photographer who started in editorial photography in 1994 and published an extensive periodical in different media, reporting and portraits. Recent ex-student of the PIC.A school will exhibit his series El Cielo at the Art Center of Alcobendas from April 5 to May 13 . This work, carried out between 1997 and 2000, is a tribute to his maternal grandfather José Mouriz, who is passionate about photography, a passion he has also inherited.

Tell the story of Ciru Raluy through the portraits of his characters. The circus, that place of dreams where its magic penetrated the innocent eyes of children, and in which the world of fantasy was possible, and made spectators forget their daily hardships. His characters, nomads full of talent and art, remain in our memory. We all have in our memories those images of the carts on the road or the assembly and disassembly of the tent. Graciela the trapeze artist of this circus is the main character of this story and around her the rest of its members are emerging. Manuel Capón in this work has managed to materialize these childhood memories in a careful black and white photographs that convey to the viewer the emotions of the shot and make him evoke his own childhood experiences.
