Carmel Busfield Sold at Auction Prices

Carmel Busfield has lived in Sydney's Hills district for more than thirty years and since taking up painting in 1980 has earned a reputation as one of the district's better known artists. Her work can be found in private homes as well as businesses and recreational institutions throughout the area. Further a-field her paintings have found their way to a number of countries including America and the U.K. Although showing a keen interest in art since childhood, it wasn't until her three children commenced school and Carmel had the opportunity to re-focus her energies that she decided to cultivate her interest in oil painting. Over the years she has studied with reputable artists including Suzanne Sommer, Alan Fizzell and Fred Martin. Born and raised in country Victoria, Carmel's love of the bush is reflected in her landscapes many of which feature the lovely old farmsteads that can be found scattered throughout South Eastern Australia.
