      Kawamura Bumpo, 1779-1821, comprising: 1) BUMPO GAFU, "Bumpo's Sketchbook" (Osaka & Kyoto: Yoshida Shimbei, 1807) 10 x 7 1/8 in., in traditional Japanese fukurotoji binding: embossed blue paper cover and printed title label. Containing 30 double-page images, including genre scenes and still life, printed in black outline with gray and sepia accents; 2) BUMPO SANSUI GAFU, "Bumpo's Landscape Painting Manual," (Kyoto: Yoshida Shimbei, 1824) published at the instance of his adoptive son, Kawamura Kiho, following Bumpo's death; 10 1/8 x 6 5/8 in., traditional Japanese fukurotoji binding: bright yellow cover with printed blue bamboo motif, with worn title label printed in brown. Containing 30 double-page color prints of landscapes in Chinese taste, for which he was best known; 3) BUMPO GAFU SAMPEN, "The Sketchbook of Bumpo, Part 3" (Kyoto: Kawachiya Kihei and Yoshida Shimbei, 1813) 101/4 x 7 in., traditional Japanese fukurotoji binding: gray cover embossed with octagonal pattern, applied title label. The last volume of a series originally intended to extend to 10 volumes. This contains 35 double-page genre scenes, printed in black outline and light colors.

      Kawamura Bumpo, 1779-1821; KANGA SHINAN, NIHEN, "Manual of Chinese Style Painting, Second Part" (Kyoto: Fushimiya Toemon, et al., 1811) Three volumes, 101/8 x 6 1/2 in., in traditional Japanese fukurotoji bindings: bright yellow paper covers, applied tan title labels; cloth chitsu folding case. This was a continuation of Takebe Ayatari's similarly titled work of 1778, but stands apart. The illustrations are quite impressive, particularly the series of landscapes ending volume III.
